We
use our own unique proprietary workshops as part of our overall organization
development interventions. Each of these sessions is tailored in content
and length to meet the client’s specific needs.
Leading in Complex Systems
Leadership
is a critical issue of our times. Successful leaders today must
learn to think systemically – to understand the complex interconnections
in organizations and their environments. They also must relinquish
the traditional goals of control, order and predictability in favor of
creating a learning environment. This session helps senior managers
understand the need for this kind of leadership at all levels of
the organization. Our workshop offers practical ways to create shared
responsibilities through leadership teams.
Business Assessment
Creating
a quality culture means moving from a traditional “control organization”
into a “learning organization.” This requires that leadership understand
and carry out its own critical role in this change process – clarifying
the mission, focusing the vision, setting values and creating systems,
structure and management practices. This workshop helps executives
assess the current organizational climate and develop the alignment necessary
to focus on quality and the customer.
Business
Alignment
This
workshop uses the products of the Business Assessment course to
help employees at each level and function align and focus their own practices
on the organization’s overall mission and vision. The sessions are
best presented in a cascade through the organization. This allows
the mission and vision from upper levels to provide direction as participants
shape the mission and vision of their specific work units and reach consensus
on the values that will guide decision making and planning.
Goal-Focused
Management
This
is an integrated middle management development workshop centered around
five critical management areas: clarifying business issues, leadership
skills, structuring work, supervision tools and managing relationships.
Each area has several modules to help participants gain the knowledge
and skills necessary to master that area. The program is flexible
and uses an experiential approach to weave learning into the reality of
the workplace.
Developing Consultation Skills
Today,
more than ever, government organizations are recognizing the need to be
more collaborative than adversarial in dealing with stakeholders. This
workshop helps staff at all levels and from all specialized areas form
partnerships to improve internal operations and service delivery. Our
consultative model demonstrates ways to influence rather than control
a situation.
